Sometimes things don't go as planned on a job. During a previous visit to this home in Yuba City, we accidentally broke one of the decorative window inserts while removing it to clean the glass underneath. It happens - but what matters is how you handle it.
We spent months trying to track down a replacement insert. The problem? This home was built in the early 90s, and the part was no longer manufactured anywhere. Dead end after dead end. At that point, we had a decision to make.
We went back to the customer and offered a different solution: remove all of the remaining inserts entirely, then fully restore the glass on both sides - stripping off years of paint overspray and hard water buildup that had been sitting on those panes. The customer liked the idea, and we got to work.
What we ended up with is a garage that actually looks sharper than before. The glass is completely clear now, no haze, no residue. And without the decorative inserts, the door has a cleaner, more modern look that fits the home well. Sometimes an honest mistake leads to a better outcome.
This is the kind of situation where we felt it was important to make things fully right - not just patch something together. If you've got older construction on your home in the Yuba City area and are running into issues with discontinued parts or neglected surfaces, this is exactly the type of problem solving we bring to every job.
